Bocage is a community synonymous with estate homes, large lots, and mature landscaping. Its architects defined a style that make Baton Rouge homes uniquely ours, with beautiful millwork, brickwork, porches, pitched roofs, and gardens. Here you will find homes designed by A. Hays Town, Wright Adams, and Billy Hughes that have inspired local architects for decades. Many of the homes were originally built in the 1960’s and 70’s. Most have have been remodeled or updated. On occasion you’ll find a treasure that needs a modern touch. But make no mistake. There aren’t many addresses in Baton Rouge quite like this.
Bocage is located in the middle of Baton Rouge, minutes from Whole Foods, Towne Center, and the Bocage Shopping Center. There are dozens of nearby restaurants, retail stores, and specialty shops. The Bocage Raquet Club is also right next door and has clay and hard courts, a pro shop, swimming pool, and fitness center. It’s a great spot for a game of tennis, a quick work out, or some laps. From Bocage there’s also easy access to I-10 and I-12, so it’s a quick commute to most places including downtown. No wonder this neighborhood continues to be one of the most desirable places to live in Baton Rouge.
