Developers of The Preserve at Harveston have blended an appreciation of Louisiana’s natural beauty with it’s rich architectural heritage. It’s located near LSU, off Bluebonnet Blvd near Nicholson Rd. In addition to the beautiful homes built here, the site includes walking trails, parks, and playgrounds. There is a large community swimming pool, hot tub and patio area along with an adjacent outdoor cooking area. Preservation Lodge, the community’s clubhouse, includes a state-of-the-art fitness center, great room with a large TV, fully equipped kitchen, furnished conference room, and rooms for events and gatherings. The signature feature of the Preserve at Harveston, however, is the 15-acre Preservation Park, with a large lake that is lined by live oak treas. It’s stunningly beautiful and reminds us that our capital city is home to wildlife and a cherished landscape. The developers have also completed Preservation Garden, an area with 50 raised 30-square foot beds where resident’s can plant their own vegetable gardens.
Four of the areas premiere builders are featured here: Alan Colby, Colby Contructors, LLC, Chuck Dupree, Dupree Contructions, LLC, Campbell “Bo” Fetzer, Fetzer Homes, LLC, and Tyler Watson, Distinctive Homes by Watson, LLC.
