Over the past 10 – 15 years the Shenandoah area has experienced slow but steady growth. More recently, however, some events have occurred that are likely to accelerate the pace. Woman’s Hospital, one of the major employers in the area, and a premiere provider of women’s health services, moved it’s campus to the Shenandoah area in 2012. Neighbors all around were excited and happy about the move. Woman’s Hospital has been rated one of the 100 best places to work in healthcare in United States. And, it’s right here! As a result there’s also been an accelerated effort to improve roads and access throughout the area. With infrastructure improvements there’s been new construction, and the likelihood is that there will be more. As in other parts of Baton Rouge, there are homes in every price range.
